Professor Martin Kramer is a Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. He is an authority on Middle East politics on contemporary Islam. His university appointments have included positions at Tel Aviv University, Cornell University, and Georgetown University. He is a former editor of the Middle East Quarterly. His books include Islam Assembled, The Islamism Debate, and Ivory Towers on Sand: The Failure of Middle Eastern Studies in America.
