Lord Nigel Lawson, former Chancellor of the Exchequer under Margaret Thatcher will deliver the 2007 HV McKay Lecture in Sydney on Monday 26th November.
He has been a prominent commentator on the Stern Report, and he was a key member of the 2006 UK House of Lords Economics Committee Report into the Economics of Climate Change. The report remains the most comprehensive investigation into climate change and its economic consequences.
Lord Lawson was a key proponent of the Thatcher Government's privatisation and tax reform programme.
In this lecture, he will examine the policy responses to climate change.
