14th April, 2008 - 14th April, 2008
12:30pm - 2:00pm
Location: Wentworth Room, 5rd Floor, Sofitel Wentworth, 61-101 Phillip Street, Sydney
Speakers
David is responsible for Microsoft's activities in the healthcare sector and is a great communicator around the opportunities for technology in the provision of healthcare services to citizens
The Institute of Public Affairs is the only organisation in Australia dedicated to combating over-regulation and government interference in the technology sector.
Recently, the IPA has: - given evidence to the Senate Inquiry into media law reform arguing for the liberalisation of the anti-siphoning laws;
- advocated for property rights in spectrum management; and
- argued that proposals to regulate internet content are misguided and impossible to implement.
This lunch is sure to be interesting and informative. Previous speakers in the Technology Forum series have included Alan Nobile from Google Australia and Martin Stewart-Weeks from Cisco Systems. Places are limited to encourage open discussion.
