05:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: The Brisbane Club, The Edinburgh Room, 241 Adelaide Street, Brisbane

Aynsley Kellow will discuss his new book Science and Public Policy: The Virtuous Corruption of Virtual Environmental Science. In it he argues that much of environmental science that informs public policy, including climate change, relies heavily on computer modeling, into which subjective factors can intrude. Professor Kellow shows how easily this science can be corrupted and inhibit the search for good policy solutions.
Professor Kellow is Head of the School of Government at the University of Tasmania.
Cost: $10 per person (incl GST) payable on the night (cash at the door)
