Mark Steyn to visit Australia in February 2016
The free market think tank the Institute of Public Affairs is pleased to announce that it will host several upcoming events featuring one of the world's leading voices for freedom, international bestselling author Mark Steyn.
"Mark Steyn is one of the most eloquent defenders of our liberties, and he is coming at an important time in our history," says John Roskam, Executive Director of the Institute of Public Affairs.
In February 2016 Steyn will appear at events in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Cloncurry, Melbourne and Canberra.
Steyn is the author of several best-selling books including America Alone, After America, Lights Out, The [Un]documented Mark Steyn and his latest work, A Disgrace To The Profession. He also wrote the foreword to Magna Carta: the Tax Revolt That Gave Us Liberty, written by the IPA's Chris Berg and John Roskam and contributed to Climate Change: The Facts 2014.
His writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Australian, the Jerusalem Post, The Spectator and The Telegraph. His website, SteynOnline.com, is an essential resource for people around the world concerned about the preservation of fundamental liberties.
Steyn has been awarded the Center for Security Policy's ‘Mightier Pen' award, and the ‘Sappho Award' from the International Free Press Society in Copenhagen, Denmark.
He is currently locked in litigation with Michael Mann, the inventor of the global-warming ‘hockey stick' graph. It is a lawsuit costing hundreds of thousands of dollars with the intent to chill free expression on matters of public interest.
