Sarah Wilson is the Director of Membership and Events at The Institute of Public Affairs (IPA).

Sarah joined the IPA in 2014 after graduating with a degree in Events Management/Marketing.

As the IPA now has over 4,200 members, Sarah focuses on continuous membership growth and in 2015 was responsible for introducing the very successful Young Members' Program which now has over 600 people under the age of 25. She is also responsible for the planning of all IPA events including nationwide tours.

In early 2016, Sarah visited a number of think tanks in the United States meeting senior representatives of the Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute and the American Enterprise Institute. While on the US study tour, she devoted considerable time to examining the membership and development programmes which have made these American think tanks so successful.

Prior to working at the IPA, Sarah worked as an Event Sales Coordinator for a successful events company, attracting new business from both the retail and corporate sectors.

Sarah is an enthusiastic netball competitor and is a member of the MCC and the VRC, reflecting her interests in the Carlton Football Club and the Spring Racing Carnival.
